I’ve been interested in Ruby for some time. I do systems models for water resources work using Extend, GoldSim, and other end-user engineering tools but have recently been thinking I would like to try building a web-based app using Ruby. I’m interested to know your thoughts on dynamic time-based simulation in Ruby.

Hi,
I want to know for what kind of computations you use Ruby ? I am currently working as a research Assistant and on a project to improve performance of YARV bytecode. I am on a lookout for real-time computation programs where Ruby is applied and used extensively.
Any kind of help would be appreciated.
